Later that night when everyone was able to get settled into their rooms and relax, Betty Ann suggested having dinner with her sons and significant others to catch up on what they have been doing lately with their lives. Doug was invited to tag along but politely declined the offer stating that he had other plans for the night. Jared pulled his friend aside to ask him what his problem was.
“Nothing. Seriously, I’m fine. We’re fine. Everyone is fine, okay. I have no problems with Jenny. It just threw me off guard seeing her with you and you being all cuddly…I’m fine now. Really. I’m sorry if I came off rude to her earlier.” Doug explained.
“Okay, fair enough.” said Jared contemplating on whether or not Doug was telling the truth. “What other plans do you have that’s so important that you can’t grace us with your presence at dinner?” Jared asked.
Doug sighed, “Nothing. Just hanging out with some friends.”
Jared gave Doug a knowing look, “What friends? Do I know these people? Would these be the type of people that I normally would be interested in hanging out with if I weren’t in a relationship?” he rambled on.
“What?” Doug was confused.
“Are these people the members of the opposite sex? Jared pressed.
“Yes.”
“Are they models?”
Doug gave Jared a wary look, “Some are trying to be actresses.”
“Okay. Well you have fun.”
“I actually made these plans a month ago when I thought you were single but then that changed.”
Before Jared could open his mouth to say what he was going to say Doug cut him off. “What if I show up and these girls don’t want anything to do with me because you aren’t there?” he admitted to Jared who gave him a sympathetic look.
“That won’t happen man.” Jared didn’t know if what he was saying was the truth or a straight up lie.
“I guess I’ll find out then. I better get going. See ya.” said Doug and walked out of the hotel room he was sharing with Jared who couldn’t help but feel a twinge of jealousy. ‘Wait, why am I jealous? I’m not jealous, am I? I got Jenny who is amazing. I care about her and she cares about me. This is what I want. This is where I want to be, with Jenny.’ Jared told himself but he felt more like he was trying to convince himself. You know what they say, ‘Old habits die hard.’
Dinner with everyone managed to be not as painful as Jared thought it would be. However all he could think about was getting Jenny back to his room and finally have his way with her. All he needed to do was find in out without anyone getting suspicious. Luckily Betty Ann seemed to be distracted by Caleb and Lily about their upcoming nuptials.
“Jared.” whispered Jenny.
“Yeah?” he replied.
“How long will Doug be out?” she asked him.
Jared knew where she was getting at. “I don’t know. If everything goes good for him than hopefully he won’t be back for quite some time.”
“Do we just get up and leave or do you have a plan of action?”
“I think we just get up and say we’re going to go watch a movie and hang out.” suggested Jared.
Jenny looked over at Betty Ann, Caleb, Lily, Jessie and Nathan. All five of them looked to be in deep conversation. “Lets just go. The won’t miss us.” Jenny said and stood up with Jared following suit.
“Where are you two going?” Betty Ann asked as she saw her youngest son leave with his girlfriend by his side.
“Uh…Jen and I are going to go watch a movie.” said Jared as he and Jenny slowly backed away from the table to get away from the group.
The two young adults noticed the questionable stare the elder woman gave them but were saved when Lily asked Betty Ann what kind of veil would be best to wear. “Simple is always the best way to go.” she told Lily.
Jared and Jenny practically ran out of the hotel restaurant and to the elevators. “No, no, no. We are almost there.” said Jenny as Jared was about to pounce on her while in the elevators. When they reached their floor Jared grabbed Jenny’s hand and quickly escorted her down to his room.
“Please God, don’t let Doug be in here.” pleaded Jared as he struggled to get the door unlocked.
Once inside Jared peered around the room to make sure that his best friend was no where in sight. “The coast is clear.” he stated with a grin on his face. He grabbed Jenny’s face and smashed his lips to hers. He roamed his hands all over her body. Everything was starting to come back to him. The feel of her breasts, the taste of her tongue.
Soon clothes were being ripped from each others bodies and being thrown across the room. “Which bed is yours?” Jenny asked. “That one.” Jared said pointing to the one on the right. He lead her over to the bed and climbed in with Jenny.
Immediately Jared settled himself on top of her and wasted no time. The soft gasp that escaped Jenny’s lips as he entered her only urged him to go deeper and harder with each thrust. He rolled over onto his back with Jenny now positioned on top and began swiveling her hips against his hard member. The two were panting heavily but neither one was slowing down until both reached their peak. Jared dug his nails on Jenny’s hips as he reached his climax. He felt Jenny orgasm soon after.
“Oh my God.” Jenny breathed as she collapsed next to Jared. He turned to look at her and planted a kiss on her forehead then he scooped her into his arms.
“I really needed that.” Jared uttered. He settled himself in the crook of Jenny’s neck and doze off to sleep.
During the rest of the week Jenny couldn’t help but feel out of place at the parties and events she attended with Jared and everyone else. She felt as though people were judging her and questioning how she managed to snag the unattainable Jared Followill. ‘This is all in your head. Stop being so insecure.’ she would scold herself.
One afternoon when Jenny was at a swag event she joined Caleb to go along and get some items for Lily since she was busy that day and couldn’t attend. The two spent their time smelling different perfumes, lotions and face creams. “Caleb, can I ask you something?” Jenny spoke up and looked over at the middle brother. It was true that she did develop a crush on Caleb when she first met him back in 2008 but over time her crush faded and was replaced with admiration and respect.
“Sure. What’s on your mind?” responded Caleb.
“Well…did you…I mean…when Lily…do you ever feel out of place when you do stuff with Lily when she does her Victoria Secret promo or runway shows?” Jenny managed to get out.
Caleb looked at her and could tell that Jenny really wanted to know. Not for the sake of wanting to get to know him better but as to whether or not if anyone ever felt out of place in their relationship. “Honestly, not really because when Lily got signed with Victoria Secret we were already together for 2 years. I mean both of our careers were moving on up at the same time. We knew our places in each others lives. There was no need to feel insecure about anything. Everything alright Jenny?”
“Everything’s fine. I just wanted to know how you dealt with…all of this.” she motioned to their surroundings and the chaos of it all.
“You have to remember that this place is not the real world and you don’t have anything to worry about. You’ll get use to it.” he reassured her but all Jenny could do was give him a meek smile. She wasn’t sure if she would ever or even wanted to get use to this world.
